Free days at state parks: Visit Washington state parks for free. The Discover Pass is not required to visit state parks on free days.

The 2018 State Parks free days are as follows:
Jan. 1 — First Day Hikes; New Year’s DayJan. 15 — Martin Luther King, Jr. DayMarch 19 — State Park’s 105th birthdayApril 14  — Spring dayApril 22 — Earth DayJune 2 — National Trails DayJune 9 — National Get Outdoors DayJune 10 — Fishing DayAug. 25 — National Park Service 102st BirthdaySept. 29 — National Public Lands DayNov. 11 — Veterans DayNov. 23 — Autumn dayPlease note, free days apply only to day use (not overnight stays or rented facilities), A Discover Pass will still be required on these days to access lands managed by theWashington State Department of Natural Resourcesand theWashington Department of Fish and Wildlife.
